FAQs

What does Impact Medical do?

Impact Medical provides Medicare Part B supplies for long-term care facilities and nursing homes. We’re a true one-stop shop and carry wound care, enteral feeding, tracheostomy, urology and ostomy supplies. Then we bill your residents’ insurance, which helps save nurses time and resources.

Switching to a new provider or system is a long, involved process, right?

Not at all. In fact, the only way your nurses and caregivers will know you switched is that they no longer have to place orders manually. Switching to Impact is simple. You’ll need to contact your local representative to learn how we can help you. Then you complete a partnership agreement; there aren’t any long-term contracts. After that, you’ll create a login so we can access your EMR. We’ll identify residents for service, verify their insurance, qualify the order, and supply within 2-3 business days.

What is an open formulary?

Many Part B providers carry limited product lines, or even just their own products. Because we have an open formulary, you can choose products without being limited to a few brands. Order the products you need from the brands you trust and maintain product consistency. And we don’t make substitutions without notifying you first.

Do we have to sign a contract?

Nope. We don’t require a contract, just a simple business agreement. We believe in full transparency and provide comprehensive monthly savings reports so you can see how much you’re saving per facility. If you feel you’re not saving, simply tell us and our agreement ends.

Is it really no cost to our facility?

There’s no cost to you on any qualified Part B purchase. We ensure that each product is covered and handle billing Medicare. Impact-Track provides real-time status updates on qualifying and non-qualifying residents.

Can your clinical staff help our nurses?

Yes! Our clinicians are certified wound care experts. They can complete rounds with your staff, mentor new nurses and conduct in-service programs – at your convenience and discretion – covering the latest wound care trends and all billable Part B items.

How long does it take to receive my supplies?

Our logistics experts make it their mission to ensure speed AND accuracy in your shipment of Part B supplies. You can expect your package to arrive in 1-2 business days.

What role does technology play in your services?

We use a proprietary data aggregation system to gather and maintain information on your residents. It works behind the scenes, so your nurses don’t have to manually input information or orders, which increases the time they have to provide care.
